Ed Rowan is a shareholder at Taylor Martino, PC, and has practiced law for nearly 30 years. He represents plaintiffs in complex civil litigation, concentrating exclusively on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. His practice includes automobile and trucking accidents, product liability claims, nursing home negligence, and other cases involving serious injuries or death. Mr. Rowan is licensed to practice law in both Alabama and Mississippi.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Rowan has represented hundreds of service members in litigation against 3M involving defective combat earplugs that caused hearing loss and tinnitus. In recognition of his experience and involvement in this litigation, he was appointed by a federal judge to serve on the leadership team in the nationwide multidistrict litigation against 3M. Mr. Rowan has also represented hundreds of clients pursuing economic loss claims arising from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, as well as hundreds of clients in the Chinese Drywall litigation involving defective drywall manufactured in China.
Mr. Rowan and his wife, Melanie, have been married for 29 years and have two children, Kate and Harris. They are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where Mr. Rowan actively supports the church’s ministries. He is also involved with the faith-based ministries of Outback America and is a member of the Christian Legal Society’s Mobile Chapter. His Christian faith plays an important role in both his personal life and his law practice, guiding his commitment to fairness, justice, and the equal treatment of all people under the law.
